Roundtable – Social Theatre: Surviving (and Even Thriving) Together Let’s be honest — social theatre often finds itself stuck in between categories. Too social for some Arts Council programs, too artistic for certain health funding streams. The result? We’re paddling hard in a landscape where grants are increasingly competitive and uncertain. This roundtable is an open invitation for social theatre companies to come together, talk funding, share what’s worked (and what hasn’t), explore alternative models, and think about practical ways to support one another. How do we stay sustainable without burning out? How do we protect both our social and artistic missions? How can we turn this “in-between” space into a strength? A friendly, honest space to connect, learn from one another, and remember that we’re not navigating this alone.
